Man Wanted On Rape, Prostitution Charges

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police announced a $1,000 reward Tuesday for information that leads to the arrest of a man wanted on rape and prostitution charges.
Officers said 33-year-old Jammie Smith has felony warrants out for his arrest on charges of sodomy, sex abuse, rape and compelling prostitution. The warrants carry a $1.2 million bail.
All of Smith’s victims have been juvenile females, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
He is described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 240 pounds. He is known by the nickname “Punch,” which is tattooed on his stomach. He also has a tattoo on his back with the words “Piru Gang.”
Police said Smith is known to frequent northeast Portland and deep southeast Portland.
