A man suspected of robbing a Woodburn bank after 10 years on the lam has been arrested.
Six U.S. Marshals approached Dean John Perri, 39, at noon Thursday outside a Motel 6 in Springfield. Perri, who was smoking a cigarette in the company of a stripper, ran to his hotel room.
But as he tried to open the hotel room door with his card key, marshals took him into custody, said Mark Barr, a supervisory deputy in the Eugene office of the U.S. Marshals.
Perri was taken to the Lane County jail, where he is being held on a federal probation violation.
Perri was charged in 1992 with being a felon in possession of a firearm. In his court file, it was recommended that he not even be allowed to carry a pocketknife.
