Portland Strip Clubs: My, What A Busy Week!

by exoticinportland

DONATE!—Before their country was devastated by a colossal earthquake, Haiti was already the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. Tonight’s much needed benefit show features Portland’s music elite—Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini, Storm Large, and plenty more—banding together with a goal to raise $25,000 for Mercy Corps. If you still have yet to text “HAITI” to 90999, or just want to do more, here is your chance. EAC
w/Portland Cello Project, Janice Scroggins, Cool Nutz, Holcombe Waller & more; Aladdin Theater, 3017 SE Milwaukie, 7:30 pm, $30
STRIPPERS AND FIREARMS—It’s Paideia Week at Reed College, in which any student or alum can teach a free class, resulting in everything from tonight’s modern firearms training seminar to the economics of stripping class on Saturday, led by a stripper and certified tax preparer. (Oh, and that class is also a bike ride, in case you forgot you were in Portland.) SM

Portland Adult Entertainment: Saltzman makes it official, files for a fourth term

by kingofportland

Portland City Commissioner Dan Saltzman filed for re-election today, giving his many opponents an incumbent to run against in May. He is serving his third term.
He started fundraising last month, including a $2,500 contribution from his mom, Marjorie. He will limit all other non-mom contributions to $500 and cap overall spending to roughly $150,000.  (That is the amount public campaign finance candidates will get for the primary election, if they qualify.)
He acknowledges that serving as police commissioner has made him a target ripe for criticism. His opponents have painted him as a sign of a do-nothing city council, and knocked him for backing off police oversight.
Saltzman is best known for advocating children’s issues and environmental causes. As police commissioner, he plans to crack down on prostitution and dedicate two detectives to investigate Internet crimes against children.

Portland Massage Parlors: Edmonton prostitutes see gold at Olympics

by portland-massage

… It’s causing a bit of a financial crisis for us,” Davis says. “We’re all relying on the local clientele right now. As more and more (sex) workers come here, our income is being divided even more.”
Davis says that recently she went two days without getting a single call from a client. “Never in my career has that happened before.”
Davis acknowledges that there will be a brief flurry of business while the Olympics are on, but warns any out-of-town escorts to make sure they have a plan in place before heading out there to cash in on it.
“One girl I know came out here from Calgary, thinking she could just find a job at a massage parlour, but no one was hiring. She came without a lot of money in her pocket because she was expecting to be working right away and it just wasn’t there. She got stuck.”

Portland Strip Clubs: Virgin Vs Vampires in I Am Legend Spoof

by exoticinportland

When it came time to cast the dozens of women who would chase Robby’s cherry in the film, director Sean Skelding knew he needn’t look too far for able-bodied talent. “Portland has some of the most beautiful strippers in the country,” says Skelding. “I never for a second considered going to L.A. or Vegas to find beautiful girls to put in this movie. I figured I could take the opportunity to show the world that Portland is full of sexy, talented women who look great on film.”

Written by local screenwriter David Wester, I Am Virgin was filmed over 20 days in and around Portland. Locations included a warehouse on NW Front Street, the Portland Storage building underneath the Morrison Bridge, Cathedral Park Place, Downtown Portland, the Southeast waterfront and Devil’s Point and Lucky Devil strip clubs. The crew shut down 3 blocks of SE Morrison Street one early Sunday morning to create a dead city look. The film also had a large CGI budget to help make Portland look abandoned and rundown.

Portland Escorts: IT’S HAPPENING HERE

by escortingportland

Last February, officials picked up seven underage girls for being involved in prostitution in Portland. It was an operation that happened one night involving 29 cities across the country. Seven underage girls was an amount that was only exceeded in one city—Seattle.
Just a few weeks ago, a man was arraigned in Multnomah County because of suspicion of prostituting out a 14-year-old relative. Multnomah County sees hundreds of human trafficking cases. And no, it’s not just immigrants or people from other places.

Let’s give a big kudos to those public officials and other people for finally starting to recognize the urgency of this dire situation. According to national estimates, one of three missing teens that end up on the streets will be lured or forced into prostitution within 48 hours.

Portland Strip Clubs: Stripper-Mobile Update: Super Bowl First, Portland Second

by exoticinportland

Now instead of going up the California coast, then into Portland (where he wants strippers in the truck to dance naked) and Seattle before heading across the country to New York and down to Miami, [Marketing Director Larry] Beard is going counter-clockwise to take advantage of the better weather in the south. He hopes to cruise north along the East Coast after the Super Bowl in Miami.

Portland Strip Clubs: Birds of a Feather Wear Bad Costumes Together

by exoticinportland

At Skate America in November, Lysacek flapped his arms and seemed unintentionally cartoonish for a world champion and Olympic favorite with such a clean, elegant line. The costume was the latest from Vera Wang, but it screamed vintage Heckle and Jeckle.
“It looked like he spent the summer on a turkey farm,” said Jef Billings, a renowned skating costume designer.
Skating has reached the point where “Blades of Glory” seems less like satire and more like cinéma vérité. Lilac vinyl jumpsuits, sheer tops, off-the-shoulder necklines, corsets, tassels, feathers and fur are all the rage. And then there are the women.
“I think it’s hurting the sport,” said Billings, who has designed costumes for Peggy Fleming, Dorothy Hamill, Michelle Kwan and Sarah Hughes. “Sometimes you feel like you’ve gone to the circus instead of figure skating.”
Or as Dick Button put it, if he wanted to see theatrical strippers, he would take in a performance of “Gypsy.”

Portland Strip Clubs: Keep Portland Funny’s hard-edged comedy fits these hard times

by exoticinportland

Step inside Kelly’s on comedy night and the first face you’ll encounter belongs to Dennis Williams, the independent producer/promoter who talked the bar’s owners into letting him book these monthly Keep Portland Funny shows. Williams is a waiter in a Chinese restaurant, but he’s an aspiring comic, too, and kicks off the shows by doing a few minutes of his own material.
Some of which involves the indignities of being, yes, a waiter in a Chinese restaurant. A few of these lines don’t work onstage nearly as well as they do in his imagination, but the audience is generous and laughs anyway.
Maybe because they know exactly how he feels.
Consider that the first table beyond the footlights holds Heather, Allison, Joel and Adam, a quartet of similarly ambitious, if underemployed, young people. For now they’re holding it together by delivering pizza, selling comic books, making lattes in a coffee shop and dancing in a strip club.

Portland Escorts: Eye on Olys Captain Condom to the rescue

by escortingportland

How do you know the Olympics are coming? The hookers have arrived! Yes, a report out of Vancouver this week noted that “thousands of prostitutes are expected to descend on the West Coast city” to cash in on the swelling numbers of fans, media and Olympic employees. Did you say “media”? Ahem. “Cha-ching!” exalted one local escort. “If you know how to work it, it could be huge. You’re damn right.” We’re guessing the standard rates still apply. But the “biathlon” can get a little pricey… From the Dept. of Huh?: San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has been named the honorary captain of the U.S. Olympic men’s curling team. Davis has already made several public service announcements for the roaring game. The “captain” will be spending a few days at the Games, including a VIP experience at the Vancouver Curling Club. Said Davis to the New York Times: “I look forward to learning more and meeting those guys and finding out what their practice is like.” Well, Vernon, football practice is a lot like curling practice, only “two-a-days” are the number of Tylenol you take after a night in the Patch.
