Portland Strip Clubs: The latest loss at Lincoln High

by exoticinportland

… It’s a very emotional evening,” said Stacia Loe, a member of the club’s advisory committee. “The parents have bonded together to protect the girls, and united behind them to support their decision.”
On Tuesday, Coaches Tori Cotton and Cher Fuller resigned after Lincoln Principal Peyton Chapman reinstated a senior who’d been suspended from the JV squad.
In a prepared statement, Fuller said Chapman informed the coaches the disciplinary decision was “not ours to make.” Such interference, Fuller added, has “created an uncontrolled and unsafe environment for our athletes.”
Given the recent headlines at the high school — the football coach fired after a beer-fueled encounter with police on a MAX platform, a second DUII by the boys basketball coach, the baseball coach resigning amid allegations he took players to a strip club — this adds to the impression that Lincoln is a grease fire.

Portland Adult Entertainment: Stimulus spending adds nearly 10000 jobs in Oregon

by kingofportland

… This is our big opportunity,” said Huckans, who works with Loftis at Oregon Health & Science University. The money will be used to hire support staff and buy lab mice and equipment for two years of intense study. “We are finally able to get going.”
The two brain scientists represent just a tiny slice of the hundreds of federal contracts, loans and grants that have gone to Oregon companies and projects as part of the massive federal effort to wrench the nation out of its deep economic dive.
Oregon’s share of the money is buying safer passage for salmon on the Columbia River, funding a Beaverton program that keeps children out of prostitution and helping start a new business in Sandy that makes moulds for testing concrete. It’s repaving hundreds of miles of roads, clearing brush from fire-prone forests and dredging shipping lanes in the state’s harbors.

Portland Adult Entertainment: Lone Fir Cemetery inspires an eerie CD by Portland musicians

by kingofportland

… I’d tell a story about a steamship explosion and one of the musicians would say, ‘I want to take the angel of the person whose fault it was, for the song.’ They’d pull one little piece out of a story, explode with that idea and run with it.”
Chris Robley heard the story of a fellow who’d been responsible for thousands of men being drugged and shanghaied in Portland. The man had even done it to his son.
In Chris’ song, he “imagined the letter the son would write his parents when he woke up in the middle of the sea,” Kate says.
Jen Bernard, of the band The Taciturns, says she elected to tell the story of a French prostitute who lived in what’s now Old Town. Known as “a hooker with a heart of gold,” the woman saved money all year to feed the poor at Christmas. “Someone brutally murdered her right before Christmas and took all the money,” Jen says.

Portland Adult Entertainment: Young girls rescued in prostitution crackdown

by kingofportland

Law enforcement officials rescued three girls over the weekend in San Diego who had reportedly been forced into prostitution. The rescues were part of a nationwide law enforcement project.
According to authorities, the crackdown was headed up by the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Authorities say they arrested some 700 people, including 60 alleged pimps.
As part of the 36-city enforcement effort, dubbed “Operation Cross Country IV,” personnel from the Chula Vista, Escondido and San Diego police departments and San Diego County Sheriff’s Department assisted officials.
In all, 52 minors were rescued nationwide.
The operation was a program of the Innocence Lost National Initiative, which has worked to recover some 900 children being exploited on the streets and the conviction of 510 perpetrators, according to the FBI.

While I do believe that legalized prostitution for adults that is properly monitored would actually protect women and curb the drug problem, minors should have no role whatsoever in this profession.

Portland Strip Clubs: Evading explosive argument, dribbling to safety

by exoticinportland

… Transportation indignation has always been a fruitful subject for commuter conversation; everyone on mass transit is somehow disgruntled, and happy to share grievances. But even that happy unity is now shattered: The individual clutching the transfer next to you may be furious at the idea of building a $4 billion bridge across the Columbia, or certain that if we only built more freeway lanes, he wouldn’t have to be on the bus at all, or that the expansion of the streetcar to the east side was designed using Lionel trains.
He might even bring up the tram.
That subject, or several others, could lead to the question of the mayor, starting an argument explosive enough to drag in the bus driver. On this subject, half of Portlanders think the other half can’t take a joke, and the other half think the first group has the public morality of an unlicensed strip club.

Portland Escorts: I-Team: Boston FBI Tracking Child Prostitutes

by escortingportland

BOSTON (WBZ) ―
The FBI is cracking down on child prostitution. Since Friday night, the FBI has rescued more than 50 kids in 22 states. The WBZ I-Team has been investigating the scope of this crime right here in Boston.
An undercover Boston FBI agent showed the I-Team how he searches web sites for child prostitutes. Criminal organizations sell these kids using Internet-based escort services and phony ages.
FBI investigators tell the I-Team children are forced into a life of prostitution and are then forced to lie about their age, saying they are at least 18.
Special Agent Noreen Gleason says she is finding some kids as young 12 being sold on web sites. Many of the sites have special sections for the Boston area. “It is happening in various hotels and motels in the Boston area,” said Gleason.

Portland Massage Parlors: Dozens arrested in prostitution busts

by portland-massage

DENVER – FBI officials tell 9Wants to Know they arrested 27 people from the Denver area during raids aimed at under-age prostitution late last week and into the weekend.
In Denver, 24 were arrested for prostitution, two were taken into custody for being pimps and another was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Agents rescued 52 children in a series of raids around the country, though no children were found in the Denver area busts, according to FBI spokeswoman Kathy Wright.
“Child prostitution continues to be a significant problem in our country, as evidenced by the number of children rescued through the continued efforts of our Crimes Against Children task forces,” Kevin Perkins, assistant director of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division, said.
Officials checked out massage parlors located at 1529 Champa Street and 2060 S. Huron Street as part of the Denver investigation.

Portland Escorts: Prostitutes Arrested in Denver Area

by escortingportland

DENVER – Police in Denver arrested 15 people as part of a three-day crack down on child prostitution called Operation Cross Country. The operation was part of a nationwide effort led by the FBI.
While the operation in Denver netted 15 arrests for prostitution, none of those involved children.
On Thursday the operation focused on escort services with a focus on possible under-age prostitutes. The operation did include the arrest of two 18-year old women. That effort combined the forces of the Denver, Thornton and Aurora Police Departments along with the FBI.
On Friday Denver Police and the FBI concentrated on massage parlors. That effort netted four arrests and resulted in the closure of two massage parlors.

Portland Adult Entertainment: Old City Cemetery Lantern Tours

by kingofportland

The tales told during the Old City Cemetery’s annual Lantern Tours sound like they were pulled from today’s headlines: dead prostitutes, drunks, suicides, gunfights, couples killed for their money, an estranged husband ordering a contract hit on his wife. Many folks murdered because of greed, love, and jealousy.
This past Friday and Saturday nights, costumed volunteers dressed authenticly as they told the tales of the cemetery’s notable residents who roamed our area over one hundred years ago.
Their ghosts roamed among us as we headed deep into the cemetery under the moonlight.
Reserve your tickets now for 2010 Lantern Tours. This year’s tours sold out quickly.

Portland Strip Clubs: Giving it up

by exoticinportland

Each of the Warriors’ six turnovers were parlayed into Bronco points.
“We turned the ball over a lot on offense,” said slotback Greg Salas, who lost a fumble at the UH 14 in the second quarter. “We didn’t get it done again. It comes down to execution. Once again, we were not executing like we should be.”
The Warriors won the opening coin toss, deferred the decision until the second half, and had little success after that. Their first possession ended when running back Leon Wright-Jackson caught a shovel pass from Moniz, only to have Daron Mackey pull free the football. The Broncos recovered at the UH 13, and four plays later, Brotzman made the first of his four field goals.
Thing was, the Warriors were warned about the visiting strip club.
